What employers look at
- Qualification: a trade certificate or equivalent with evidence.
- Experience: time on machinery, ideally heavy equipment (CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr).
- Safety: a responsible attitude to isolation and procedures – mandatory.
- English: enough for instructions, safety and teamwork.
- Work readiness: reliability, discipline and willingness to work rosters.
